Terms of Service

These terms cover BeQuit, an iPhone app for people who want to stop smoking, and the separate BeQuit quit-smoking guide. A BeQuit subscription can be bought through Apple or through this website. The guide is a separate one-time web purchase. Using or buying either product means agreeing to these terms.

The purchase paths are kept apart below. Part A covers the app subscription, including the different rules for Apple and web billing. Part B covers the guide. Part C applies to both.

1. What BeQuit is

BeQuit helps you see the pattern behind your smoking and gives you something to do in the hard moments: your day drawn as a ring, breathing and distraction tools, a daily lesson, weekly recaps, and an honest account of the money and time you get back.

The guide is a written version of the same method, read in your browser rather than in the app. It is a separate purchase and does not include an app subscription.

Neither the app nor the guide is a medical device, a treatment, or medical advice. Nothing here should replace a doctor. If you use medication, nicotine replacement, or have a health condition, talk to a professional about quitting.

2. Who you are dealing with

The app and guide are provided by:

If you are reading this and any bracket above is still unfilled, that is our mistake and not a legal position. Write to support@bequit.app and we will send you the detail you asked for.

Part A. The iPhone app

These sections are about the BeQuit app on iPhone. A subscription may be bought inside the app through Apple or on this website through Stripe Managed Payments. They do not apply to the separate guide purchase.

3. Your app account

BeQuit starts with an anonymous account. If you subscribe through Apple, no email, password or name is required by BeQuit. If you subscribe on this website, the email confirmed at Stripe checkout is used to recover the purchase: tap Already purchased? in the app and enter the 6-digit verification code we send. That verified email is then attached to the app account so the subscription cannot be claimed by somebody else. You can delete the account and its BeQuit data from Settings.

4. The app subscription

BeQuit is a paid app. A subscription is required to use it, and there is no free tier. The plan, billing period, price, and date of the next charge are shown before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

If you subscribe through Apple

• Apple processes the purchase under the terms displayed by the App Store
• Cancel or manage it in iPhone Settings, your name, Subscriptions
• Deleting your BeQuit account does not cancel your subscription
• Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us

If you subscribe on this website

Checkout is provided through Stripe Managed Payments, where Link acts as merchant of record for the transaction. The checkout page shows the amount due now, the renewal amount and period, any applicable tax, and its payment terms before you place the order. Stripe or Link handles the payment details and transaction-level support; BeQuit provides and supports the product.

• The monthly plan is $14.99 per month, no trial. It continues until cancelled
• The quarterly plan is $29.99 every three months, no trial. It continues until cancelled
• Cancel through the management link in BeQuit or the Stripe/Link receipt before the next renewal
• Cancellation stops future renewal; access normally continues through the period already paid for
• Deleting BeQuit or its account does not by itself cancel the Stripe subscription
• Your mandatory consumer rights, including any applicable withdrawal rights, remain unchanged

Part B. The guide you buy on this website

These sections are about the quit-smoking guide sold here. It has nothing to do with Apple, and buying it is not a subscription.

5. What you are buying

You are buying the BeQuit quit-smoking guide: written digital content that you read on this website. It is one purchase, not a subscription. Nothing renews, nothing is billed again, and there is nothing to cancel.

Access is permanent in the sense that we do not put an end date on it. It is tied to the email address you confirm at checkout, so keep that address. If we ever had to take the guide offline, we would say so in advance.

To read it you need an email address you can receive mail at, and a browser. There is no password and no account to set up: you sign in with a one-time link we send to that address.

6. Price and payment

The guide is a one-time payment. The price is shown on the page you buy from and again on Stripe's checkout page before you pay, and that second figure is the one that counts: it is the full price, it includes VAT where VAT applies, and there are no delivery costs because nothing is shipped. Nothing is added at the end.

There is one price for the guide and every page on this site sells at it. If the price on the page you read and the price on Stripe's checkout page ever disagree, do not pay: that is a mistake on our side, the lower of the two is what we will charge, and you can tell us at the address in section 2.

Our VAT position is the one stated in section 2 above: either the UID number given there, or the Austrian small business exemption if that is what it says. Depending on where you are, Stripe may show you the amount in your local currency.

Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card details are entered on Stripe's checkout page and go to Stripe, not to us. We never see and never store your card number. What we receive back is the email address you confirmed, the fact that payment succeeded, and Stripe's record of the terms you accepted.

The contract is concluded in English. We do not store a separate copy of the contract text for you, so keep this page and Stripe's receipt if you want a record.

7. Delivery and access

Delivery is immediate. As soon as your payment goes through, the purchase is recorded against the email address you confirmed at checkout, and you are sent to a welcome page.

To open the guide later, go to bequit.app/quit-smoking-guide/unlock, type the email you paid with, and we send you a sign-in link. Clicking it opens the guide. You can do that as often as you like, on any device.

If the link never arrives, or the email you paid with turns out to have a typo in it, write to support@bequit.app and we will fix it. You paid, so you get access.

8. Your right of withdrawal, and how you give it up

If you are a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance, without giving any reason. For digital content the period starts on the day the contract is concluded, which here is the day you pay. To withdraw you would tell us so in a clear statement, by email to support@bequit.app or by post to Invsion OG, Lobaustraße 64/10, 2301 Groß-Enzersdorf, Austria. You may use the model withdrawal form, but you do not have to. Sending the statement before the 14 days are up is enough.

The guide is digital content that is not supplied on a physical medium and that is delivered to you right away. For that kind of content, the law lets you give the withdrawal right up, but only if you ask for immediate delivery and confirm that you understand what you are giving up. At checkout, Stripe asks you to tick exactly that:

“I agree to the BeQuit terms. I want access to the guide right away and understand that my 14 day right of withdrawal ends once it is delivered.”

Ticking that box is your express request for immediate delivery and your acknowledgement that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery has started. We keep the record Stripe returns with the payment. In plain terms: once your email can open the guide, the 14 days no longer apply.

The box is not optional, because delivery is immediate and cannot be undone. If you would rather keep the 14 days, do not tick it, and no payment is taken.

This is the position under EU distance selling law and the Austrian Fern- und Auswärtsgeschäfte-Gesetz. It applies to consumers. If you are buying as a business, there is no withdrawal right in the first place.

9. Refunds

The law is the law, and section 8 describes it: the withdrawal right ends once the guide is delivered. On top of that, and separately from it, we make a promise of our own.

If the guide is not for you, ask for your money back within 30 days of your purchase and you get it. You do not have to give a reason and there is no argument. Ask on the refund page, with the email you paid with. It takes a moment and we do the rest.

This is a goodwill promise we make voluntarily. It sits on top of your statutory rights and never replaces them. If the guide is not what it was described to be, or we cannot give you access to what you paid for, EU consumer law on digital content applies regardless of what this section says, and you can ask for it to be put right, for a reduction, or for your money back. If you were charged twice, or charged and never given access, we refund it, 30 days or no 30 days.

Refunds go back to the card you paid with, through Stripe. If anything about this is unclear, write to support@bequit.app and tell us what happened. We read it and we answer.

10. Complaints and disputes

Send complaints to support@bequit.app. We aim to answer within a few working days, and we would much rather sort something out directly than have it become a dispute.

The European Commission used to run an online dispute resolution platform for consumers. It stopped operating in July 2025, so there is no longer a link to send you to. If you are a consumer in the EU and we cannot settle things between us, you can contact your national European Consumer Centre, which helps with cross-border purchases inside the EU. In Austria you can also approach the Internet Ombudsstelle.

To answer the question an Austrian seller is expected to answer plainly: we are not willing or obliged to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (nicht bereit oder verpflichtet, an Streitbeilegungsverfahren vor einer Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle teilzunehmen). We would rather settle it with you directly, and the refund page in section 9 exists so that you rarely have to ask anyone else.

Austrian law applies. If you are a consumer, that does not take away the mandatory protections of the country you live in, and you keep the right to bring a claim in the courts of your own country. For buyers who are not consumers, the courts of Groß-Enzersdorf, Austria, have jurisdiction.

Part C. Both the app and the guide

11. Your data

What you log and what you write stays on your phone. What little we store, and why, is set out in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

Because your logs live on your device, deleting the app deletes them. We cannot restore them for you, so treat the app as the only copy.

A website purchase is where we learn your confirmed checkout email: it is used to unlock either the app subscription or the guide you paid for. Stripe handles the payment details. RevenueCat receives the verified app account identifier and the subscription record needed to decide whether Pro access is active.

12. Honest use

BeQuit works by taking what you tell it seriously. There are no other users to affect and nothing to compete over, so the only thing we ask is that you do not try to break, reverse-engineer or resell the app.

The guide is for you to read. You can keep it for as long as you like and quote a line to a friend, but please do not republish it, resell it, or pass your sign-in link around.

13. What we promise, and what we do not

We will keep the app and the guide working and honest. We cannot promise that you will quit smoking, that any pattern the app finds will be right, or that a reminder will always arrive at a useful moment. The app describes your own behaviour back to you; it does not predict the future and it is not a guarantee of any outcome. The guide is a method that helps many people, not a promise about you.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from using the app or the guide. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law in your country, which stand regardless of what these terms say.

14. Age

BeQuit is for adults who smoke. Do not use it if you are under the age required to purchase tobacco where you live.

15. Ending things

You can stop using the app at any time. Cancel with Apple if Apple billed you, or through Stripe/Link if you subscribed on the website, then delete the BeQuit account and local data in Settings if you want them removed. The guide has nothing to cancel, since it was a single payment.

We may end access if either product is being misused, for example if a sign-in link is being shared around or the guide is being republished. Short of that, we will not take away something you have paid for without cause.

16. Changes

If these terms change in a way that affects you, we will say so in the app and on this page. The date at the top always reflects the current version. A change here does not alter the terms that applied to a purchase you already made.
